PRAISE THE LORD : JESUS IS ABLE
Date: April 25, 2009
Beloved in Christ,
Greetings to you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My name is Jachin Charley, I am 33 years old. I am serving the Lord as an Evangelist and helping the poor. Beloved, in my Rustumbada village, so many poor people are staying in small huts. They don’t have proper food, clothes. Due to poverty they are not having education. They are living in so much agony and pain. They don’t have proper Medical facilities. We are giving them food, clothes and medicines. We are spending our own money to help them with God’s Love. I have started Jesus Gospel Ministry in the year 2006 on September 28. We are giving them Good News of Jesus. They are accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Please pray for these people. Please forward this message to many Christians to support our Indian ministry. For your reference we are sending some ministry photos. Please click the bellow link to view the Jesus Gospel Ministry photos.

Dear Joel,
Thank you for your mail and your question. We appreciate very much for your dropping by our site. We hope you will regularly drop by. I would like to apologize for this late reply.
Your Question: Is it OK to have a tattoo as a Christian? This question was posed in relation to Rev. 19:16-”And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
Reply: John Wesley had this commentary on this verse-that the name of the Lord Jesus as KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS is written “on the part of His vesture which is upon His thigh. It was usual of old, for great personages in the eastern countries, to have magnificent titles affixed to their garments.” As such, Rev. 19:16 cannot be used to support that believers may have markings on themselves like tattoos.
If you are thinking of using tattoos to put across the message of Christ to the unbelieving world, consider the following direct teaching of Jesus or His teaching through His apostles. Christians can communicate the teaching of Christ not by tattoo but by their lives:
1. We are taught by the Lord Christ as the salt of the earth and the light of the world. (Matt. 5:13-16) How do we do this? Apply His sermon on the mount on our lives. Read the prior verses: The Beatitudes-vv. 3-12).
2. The Bible teaches also that we are the epistles of Christ written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God; not int he tables of stone but in fleshly tables of the heart. (2 Cor. 3:2-3) Christ’s message of salvation is not written in our lives with ink (as in tattoos) but with a changed heart, through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the the Holy Spirit. (Tit. 3:5)
3. Lastly, tattoos have been associated with rebellion of people from accepted mores of society, especially those that reflect a Christian spirit. Lord Jesus teaches that we are to be set apart from the world in that while we are in the world, we are not of the world. (Jn. 17:14, 16) We should be separate from the ways of this world. Therefore, since our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, we are to glorify God in our bodies and in our spirit which are God’s. (1Cor. 6:19-20)
Lord bless you Joel.
In Christ,
Bro. Mar
